The Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) is a voluntary global standard to protect sheep and the land on which they graze. The TENCEL™ Lyocell fibre is of natural origin, but is produced industrially. The raw material origin of the fibre is timber (usually eucalyptus). The fibre production itself is particularly environmentally friendly due to a closed cycle. The jersey is biodegradable.
